With more than 30 years in enterprise technology, startup founder, and pioneer in mobile, AI, and data strategy, Ms. Tantoco served in executive technology and product management roles at Palm, Merrill Lynch and UBS, and holds four US patents on intelligent workflow. Appointed in 2014, Ms. Tantoco served as New York City’s first-ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO) where she directed the Mayor’s Office of Technology and Innovation. As CTO, Ms. Tantoco launched groundbreaking initiatives in smart city policy and government tech, such as LinkNYC, CSforAll, and IoT Guidelines for New York City. Most recently,Ms. Tantoco co-founded Grasshopper Bank, the first digital de novo commercial bank in the New York area to be granted a charter in over a decade, and is currently an entrepreneur, consultant, and frequent speaker on AI, IoT, and tech for good.
