Richard is responsible for leading Vyv’s engineering, research and development, new product introduction and supply chain activities. He is focused on development of the supply base of component and contract manufacturing services suppliers necessary to support the company’s rapidly expanding customer base and product portfolio. Richard comes to the position with over 25 years’ experience in product development and commercialization. Most recently he led Metweld International’s efforts for the commercialization of equipment for the power generation industry. Prior to that he held various technical leadership positions at Plug Power, H2Pump and IBM where he focused on developing and launching commercial products based on newly developed technologies. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and has been awarded 10 U.S. patents.
